Menstrual Hygiene Management
At Sankalp Welfare, we are committed to promoting menstrual health, dignity, and well-being for women and adolescent girls. Our Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) Program focuses on breaking myths, eliminating stigma, and ensuring access to accurate information and essential hygiene resources that enable women and girls to manage menstruation safely and confidently.
In many communities, menstruation continues to be surrounded by misinformation, social taboos, and cultural barriers. Limited awareness and inadequate access to sanitary products often affect the health, education, and self-esteem of women and young girls. These challenges can lead to health complications, school absenteeism, and reduced participation in daily activities.
Through our awareness campaigns, educational workshops, and community outreach initiatives, we strive to create an environment where menstruation is understood as a natural biological process rather than a subject of shame or discrimination. We educate girls, women, parents, teachers, and community members about menstrual health, personal hygiene, reproductive health, and the importance of maintaining proper sanitation practices.
Our program also focuses on improving access to menstrual hygiene products and promoting sustainable hygiene solutions. By fostering open conversations and providing practical support, we empower women and girls to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
